At 45 days of gestation of the surrogate mother you will receive an invoice and will be asked to pick up your recipient mare. This is only possible after the invoice is paid and should be done within a week after you have received this message. From the 45th day of pregnancy, all risks (i.e. loss of embryo…) and additional costs (stable fee, drugs…) are at the account of the client.
I want to pick up my recipient mare:
- After the corresponding invoice has been paid:
- An appointment by telephone for scheduling the transport should be made. Pick up is possible from Monday until Saturday between 8h and 16h.
- Provide your own head collar and rope.
- When the surrogate mother will be moved abroad, a health certificate (TRACES) should be arranged. Therefore, inspection and certification should be requested at least 48h in advance with the Federal Agency. Upon request, this service can be provided by us.
We recommend that you take the necessary insurance cover for your valuable embryo and the recipient mare in case of loss or mortality. The necessary documents for the insurance will be provided at the retrieval of the recipient mare.
