Vacancy: full-time veterinary assistant & horse groomer

Hof Ter Leeuwe is a European recognized equine reproduction center, specialized in reproductive techniques. Thanks to our years of experience, horse owners can come to us for, among other things, the collection and freezing of stallion semen, artificial insemination, embryo freezing, transfer of (frozen) embyros and Ovum Pick Up (OPU).

What does the job entail?

As a veterinary assistant and horse groomer, you play an important role in our daily operation. Some of your duties include:

• You will be responsible for the care of our horses, including feeding and machine stable maintenance;
• You will support our veterinarians in their work, such as accompanying mares for gynecological examination, assisting with embryo transfer, semen collection or OPU;
• You will be responsible for the maintenance of our labs.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who works independently, takes responsibility and has experience with horses. Do you recognize yourself in this?

• Experience with horses (a must);
• Sense of responsibility and independence;
• Physically able to do caring work;
• Team spirit and motivation to learn;
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel;
• Driver's license B;
• A knowledge of French and English is an asset, but not a requirement;
• Residence up to 25 kilometers from Hof Ter Leeuwe.
