One of the most important aspects of a successful embryo transfer is the carrier mare. At the time of embryo transfer, the carrier mare must be in the correct phase of her cycle. In addition, her physique and size should match those of the donor mare as much as possible. The carrier mare will also provide the foal with life-saving colostrum, protect it and raise it as her own.
We have a wide range of quality surrogate mares available. Timely reservation is necessary. For ICSI embryo transfer we work with an online reservation system. Reservations can be made online annually during the month of January. For embryo transplants of fresh embryos you must book by telephone as soon as the time of ovulation is known.
Before our veterinarians perform any procedures on your horse, you must have read and signed the health declaration and framework agreement below for approval.
